Resources to Help You Celebrate National Small Business Week

By Carly Barry, Marketing Communications Consultant

Did you know that April 29 – May 5, 2018 is National Small Business Week? Sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Small Business Week has been celebrated since 1963 and recognizes outstanding small business owners and entrepreneurs through the United States and in U.S. territories.

Here at Sentric, we support many small businesses with payroll and tax filing services, and we salute our small business customers this week (and every single day)!

In honor of Small Business Week, we’re celebrating by offering a roundup of helpful tax, payroll, & compliance resources:

  • IRS.gov Resources for Small Business Owners: The IRS is spotlighting several resources in honor of National Small Business Week, including links to IRS “tax centers”—which are basically information hubs with useful tools, virtual workshops for completing common IRS forms, and more!
  • IRS-Sponsored Daily Webcasts: The IRS is hosting daily webcasts during National Small Business Week, which are designed to help small business owners navigate common tax situations. Each day’s webcast will have a different topic. Anyone can register for free at the link above!
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration Small Business Website: The United States Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) small business website offers a wealth of resources and information designed specifically for small business employers, including safety and health tools and publications, easy-to-follow guides for specific OSHA standards, and descriptions of benefits that small businesses receive from OSHA.
  • The Really Big List of National Small Business Week 2018 Events, Promotions and Deals: This article highlights many national and local events that are going on in honor of Small Business Week. Check out the list—there may be an event going on near you!
